Marsden has around 60 miles of Public Rights Of Way paths. 25 miles of which are our waymarked, map leaflet routes.
We head out each year as volunteers to survey all 60 miles. But problems can occur at any time, so if you spot a problem with a path please let us know here AND if you could, please let Kirklees Council know.
The problem could be something like a blocked gate, a collapsed stile – anything that impedes the right of way.
The Kirklees online map tool:
If you are happy to use an online map, please use the Kirklees definitive Rights Of Way online map tool to find the area where the path is and then click ‘share’ to make a copy of the web address of the map section you are looking at. Make a note of the path section where the problem is (e.g “COL/198/10). You can see the path section code by clicking your mouse on the exact section of the purple path where you saw the problem.
Then send that link to firstname.lastname@example.org .
